Starting out as an electronics geek making things work behind the scenes, Richard cut his teeth as a tea-boy at Battery Studios in London and worked his way up the hard way – from patching cables to producing global records.
Since then he’s become a long-term collaborator for major artists and producers, especially alongside Guy Chambers and Robbie Williams, while also contributing to records for Florence + The Machine, Delta Goodrem, Paloma Faith, Rudimental, Grace Jones, Kylie, INXS and many more.
Sound on Sound
He splits his time between London & International studios and his own Klabang studio in Suffolk, taking projects from rough demos to final masters, or stepping in purely to mix when a track needs that last 10%.
Richard is known for calm rooms, fast decisions and actually finishing records. He’s obsessed with that moment when everything locks together – song, performance and sonics – and the track finally feels inevitable.
